This data base is based on the published data base (Simons, Vitamins and Hormones, 49, 49-130 [1994]) with additions to make it as current as possible. However, there may be omissions and errors. The ultimate objective is to make this data base as complete and error-free as possible.
Therefore, your comments and/or corrections are greatly desired
and should be sent to S. Stoney Simons. Comments on the organization
of the database and ideas for improvement are welcome and should
be sent to Mark Danielsen.

Links in the sequence comparison bring up the relevant information in the "Notes" frame.
Amino acid links in the "Notes" frame position the sequence comparison so that that amino acids can be seen.
Reference links in the "Notes" frame show the references for that amino acid in the frame below.
In the reference section, reference links displays abstracts of the paper in a separate browser window; notes for that amino acid can be displayed in the notes section
Comments on the organization of the database and ideas for improvement are welcome.
The following abbreviations are used in the top frame of "Annotated
Sequence Comparison and Mutational Analysis" to identify
the species from which the GR was cloned:
r (rat)
m (mouse)
h (human)
p (primate, specifically tamarin)
g (guinea pig)
x (frog, specifically Xenopus).
In the second frame ("Notes"), the left hand column
gives the position number and amino acid in the rat receptor.
The right hand column gives the information from the literature
about mutations at this position, with the species of the receptor
in which the mutation was characterized identified by a capital
letter using the same code as in the top frame.
