Monoclonal (Mouse) Anti-Thyroid Hormone Receptor Beta 1 (IgG1) Catalog Number: MA1-216 Clone: J52.
MA1-216 is specific for the TRb-1 isoform in human and rat samples. This antibody was produced from a hybridoma, the product of a fusion between P3x63 Ag8653 myeloma cells and splenocytes from Balb/c mice immunized with purified human TRb-1 overexpressed in E. coli. Epitope mapping of MA1-216 shows its epitope to be in the A/B domain of hTRb-1, amino acids 1-101. This antibody has been successfully used in Western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunocytochemical, and gel super shift procedures to detect the presence of TRb-1 in human and rat samples. Western blot experiments have been limited to the detection of recombinant TR expressed in E. Coli. Immunoprecipitation and gel super shift experiments show that this product reacts with the unliganded, liganded, and DNA binding forms of the receptor. Thisp roduct immunoprecipitates the 52 and 55 kDa proteins, believed to be products from two translation start sites for TRb-1. MA1-216 recognizes the transfected and endogenous T3 nuclear receptor in intact GH3 cells in immunocytochemical experiments. When levels of expression of the transfected receptor are high, cytoplasmic staining is seen along with nuclear staining.

Monoclonal (Mouse) Anti-Thyroid Hormone Receptor (IgG1) Catalog Number: MA1-215 Clone: C3.
MA1-215 recognizes TRb-1 and cross-reacts with TRa-1 in human samples. This antibody was produced from a hybridoma, the product of a fusion between P3x63 Ag8653 myeloma cells and splenocytes from Balb/c mice immunized with a purified truncated fragment of human TRb-1 (Lys201-Asp456) overexpressed in E. coli. Epitope mapping of MA1-215 shows its epitope to be in the hormone binding domain of hTRb1 amino acids 235-414 which is conserved in hTRa1. This antibody has been successfully used in Western blot, immunoprecipitation, and gel super shift procedures to detect the presence of TRb-1 and TRa-1 in human samples. Western blot experiments have been limited to the detection of recombinant TRb-1 expressed in E. Coli. This antibody immunoprecipitates 52 kDa and 55 kDa proteins, representing TRb1 and a 48 kDa protein representing TRa1.

Polyclonal (Rabbit) Anti-Thyroid Hormone Receptor Beta 1. Catalog Number: PA1-213. Clone: TRb-62. This polyclonal antibody is known to react specifically with human TRb-1, but not TRa-1 & TRva-2. It was derived from rabbits that had been immunized with a synthetic peptide (aa 62 - 82) whose sequence is from the N-terminal region of the human TRb-1which is identical to the rat TRb-1 sequence. This antibody has been successfully used in immunoprecipitation, Western blot, immunohisto-chemistry, and gel super shift procedures to detect the presence of TRb-1. Western blot experiments have been limited to the detection of recombinant TR expressed in E. Coli. This product reacts with the unliganded, liganded and DNA binding forms of the receptor. Specific nuclear staining in numerous rat tissues including liver, brain, testis, thyroid & adrenal has been observed by immunohistochemistry. This antibody immunoprecipitates 52 kDa & 55 kDa proteins, believed to be products from two translation start sites for TRb-1. This antibody is known to react with both human and rat TR.

TRalpha1 (C4), cat # sc-740
monoclonal
raised against human TRalpha1 C-terminal epitope
human specific, reactive with both TRalpha and beta
suggested for Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry; sold separately as a reagent for mobility supershift

TRalpha1 (C1), cat # sc-739
monoclonal
raised against human TRalpha1 A/B domain epitope
human specific, reactive with both TRalpha and beta (according to them, but the epitope used seems more likely to have generated a specific monoclonal)
suggested for Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry; sold separately as a reagent for mobility supershift

TRalpha1 (FL-408), cat # sc-772
rabbit polyclonal
raised against full length chicken TRalpha1
specific for chicken, rat, mouse and human TRalpha and beta; non-cross reactive with other steroid receptors (but not specificed which ones tested)
suggested for Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry; sold separately as a reagent for mobility supershift

TRbeta1 (J52), cat # sc-738
monoclonal
raised against epitope in the C-terminal half of human TRbeta1 A/B domain
